FlaviBot: the facts

In one paragraph

FlaviBot is a free Discord music and multipurpose bot, created by flav in March 2019. It runs on 2,015,506 Discord servers. It combines a music player with the moderation, ticketing, leveling and automation modules a community usually spreads across several separate bots, and it is used from Discord with slash commands and from a web dashboard at https://flavibot.xyz/dashboard, which needs a Discord login and either the Manage Server permission or an explicit grant from someone who has it. Everything is usable for free: a free server gets a 200-track queue and reads up to 500 tracks from an imported playlist link, which Premium raises to 100,000 and 10,000.

Music

For music it supports Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music, plus direct audio file URLs, radio stations and audio files uploaded with /play-file; searches default to Spotify. YouTube is not a supported music source.

The YouTube module listed under Notifications below announces new videos from a channel. It is not playback, and there is no way to play a YouTube link with FlaviBot.

Pricing

Free is the whole bot with small caps rather than a subset of it. What a free server cannot do at all is a short list: 24/7 mode, a default volume, default songs, a default playlist, default autoplay, a default queue loop, auto shuffle, a shorter inactive-disconnect timeout, a custom controller image, Smart Bot Routing, invite alerts, the advanced giveaway options, the Server Bot Profile (Gold and above) and a custom bot (Platinum).

Premium is optional and sold in EUR as a subscription on your account: a subscription carries a number of premium server slots, you activate one on whichever server you want with /premium activate, and you can move it to another server later. Every plan includes everything in the plan below it.

Platinum is the only plan that includes a custom bot, and it includes one. Extra ones are sold as an add-on on top of a Platinum subscription, at €4.99 per month (€49.99 per year) each. An older Bronze tier still exists for the people who bought it; it is no longer sold.

What a free server gets

What FlaviBot is not

• Not a self-hosted bot. There is no build of FlaviBot you run on your own machine or server. A custom bot is close but not that: it is a Discord application you own, showing your name and avatar, whose token you paste into the dashboard so that FlaviBot runs it for you. It is a Platinum feature — one included, with extras sold as an add-on.
• Not a YouTube player. YouTube is not a supported music source, on any plan, and no setting turns it into one.
• Not a bot builder. The autoresponder module automates FlaviBot with triggers, filters, actions and variables. It has no loops and runs no code you write, on purpose: a rule stays readable to whoever inherits the server, and safe to install from someone else.
