Sticky Messages

Sticky Messages keep rules, links or announcements in view. When members post in the channel, FlaviBot waits for the delay you set, deletes its previous sticky message and posts it again at the bottom, so a burst of chat produces one repost rather than one per message. Each sticky message is plain text of up to 2000 characters or an embed from the Embed Messages page. A channel can hold several sticky messages that rotate in order or at random, and the number per channel grows with Premium.

One repost per burst

The delay runs from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. Every new message restarts the wait, so a busy conversation gets a single repost once it calms down.

Rotating messages

Put several messages in one channel and FlaviBot cycles through them in order or picks one at random on each repost.

Text or an embed

Write up to 2000 characters, or pick an embed you built on the Embed Messages page.

Bots do not bump it

Messages from bots never trigger a repost, so a sticky message cannot end up in a loop with another bot.

Limits by plan

The numbers FlaviBot enforces. They follow the server's plan, except saved playlists and custom bots, which follow your account's plan.

Questions about Sticky Messages

How fast does the sticky message come back?

After the delay you set, between 5 and 300 seconds, 10 by default. Each new message restarts that delay, so the repost lands once the channel has been quiet for that long.

Can one channel have several sticky messages?

Yes. They take turns in order or are picked at random on each repost. How many a channel can hold depends on the server's plan.
