Automated Messages

Automated Messages send a message on a schedule, so recurring announcements do not depend on anyone remembering them. Pick a channel, write up to 2000 characters or choose an embed, or give it several messages that take turns, then send it once at a date and time or repeat it on an interval, optionally only on certain days of the week in your server's timezone and until an end date. By default a run is skipped when nobody has posted since FlaviBot's last message, so a quiet channel does not fill with copies. How many messages a server can schedule, and how often they may repeat, depends on its plan.

Once or on repeat

Send a message once at a date and time, or repeat it on an interval with an optional end date.

Only on the days you pick

Limit a repeating message to certain days of the week, read in your server's timezone.

No copies in a quiet channel

A run is skipped while FlaviBot's previous post is still the last message in the channel, unless you choose to send even without new activity.

Forums and threads

Target a forum and each run opens its own post, or pick a single post and every run lands in it.

Limits by plan

The numbers FlaviBot enforces. They follow the server's plan, except saved playlists and custom bots, which follow your account's plan.

Questions about Automated Messages

Why was a scheduled message not sent?

Unless Send even without new activity is on, FlaviBot skips a run when the last message in the channel is still its own previous post. A message limited to certain days of the week also skips the other days.

How often can a message repeat?

It depends on the server's plan: the shortest repeat interval for each plan is in the table on this page, and a shorter interval is refused when you save.

Can an automated message post into a forum?

Yes. Pick a forum channel and each run opens a new post, or pick one post inside it and every run lands there.

Can one automated message post different messages?

Yes. Give it several messages and each run posts the next one, in order or at random, never the same one twice in a row. How many messages one automated message can hold depends on the server's plan.
