Birthdays let your server celebrate members without anyone keeping a calendar. A member records their date once with /birthday set and turns announcements on for each server they choose with /birthday announce. Every day at 08:00 UTC, FlaviBot reads the calendar day in your server's timezone, posts the announcement in your channel, with the member's age when they gave a birth year, and can give a birthday role that it removes after 1 to 168 hours. Each member is announced at most once a year per server, and the feature is free.
A member records their date once with /birthday set and chooses which of their servers may celebrate it, so turning the feature on exposes nobody who did not ask.
Keep the default message or pick an embed you built yourself, with variables for the member, the server and their age when they gave a birth year.
Give an optional birthday role and FlaviBot takes it back on its own after the duration you set, anywhere from 1 to 168 hours.
The daily check runs at 08:00 UTC and the date is read from your server's timezone, so you celebrate on your local day and never twice in a year.
Every setting explained, step by step.
The slash commands you'll use with this feature on Discord.
/birthdayNo. Nothing is announced for a member until they run /birthday announce on your server, and they can delete their date from FlaviBot entirely with /birthday remove.
The check runs once a day at 08:00 UTC. Your server's timezone decides which calendar day counts, not the time the message is sent.
No. It is optional and only used to show the member's age in the announcement.
