Welcome & Goodbye covers what FlaviBot does when someone joins or leaves your server. Up to four things fire on a join, each with its own switch: up to 3 roles for every new human, a public welcome message with an optional generated card, a ping that deletes itself after 5 seconds, and a private message. Leaving triggers a goodbye message. Messages are plain text with variables or an embed built on the Embed Messages page, and the channel can be a forum where each member gets their own thread. The feature is free; the number of custom card templates depends on the server's plan.

The join DM is skipped. It is not an error, it does not retry, and it never counts toward the feature switching itself off.
FlaviBot cannot give a role that sits at or above its own highest role, or a role Discord manages itself, such as a booster role. Those roles are skipped and the others are still applied. Bots never receive auto roles.
Yes, when the Invite Tracker is turned on and FlaviBot matched the join to an invite. Those variables only work on a join, so write the message so it still reads well without them.
